University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston

The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston seeks applicants for several full-time clinical educator (non-tenure) track positions in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials at the assistant or associate professor level. Applicants must have a dental degree (DDS/DMD) recognized by the Commission on Dental Education of the American Dental Association and a current license or eligibility for licensure to practice dentistry in one of 50 United States. Prior teaching and/or private practice experience is expected. Responsibilities include preclinical and clinical teaching to undergraduate dental students, research and service. Preference is given to applicants with demonstrated interest/expertise/experience in dental anatomy, operative dentistry, esthetic dentistry and dental materials science. The positions are available July 1, 2006. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Dental Branch is located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, which offers significant resources and important opportunities for collaboration and advanced training. The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry Chair, Department of Restorative Dentistry

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Dentistry, seeks nominations and applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry. The Department, one of six clinical departments in the College of Dentistry, has primary responsibility for the following areas: dental anatomy, occlusion, operative dentistry, biomaterials, esthetic dentistry, DAU and prosthodontics. The College of Dentistry is one of seven colleges comprising the University's Health Science Center. The College serves approximately 365 students in predoctoral and advanced training programs.

Applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree and meet eligibility requirements for a Tennessee dental license. The responsibilities of this position include working with a diverse faculty, staff and student personnel, department administration, faculty and staff development, management of the department's educational programs (undergraduate didactic, clinical, pre-clinical and postdoctoral programs in AEGD and Prosthodontics), research, and service activities. The successful candidate will be an individual with excellent communication skills, administrative experience, demonstrated vision and creativity with regard to dental education, health care delivery, research and service and have highly-developed academic leadership capabilities and outstanding academic credentials. Experience working with a diverse faculty, staff and student body is a plus. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. Indiana University Department of Restorative Dentistry (Operative)

The Department of Restorative Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time tenure track or clinical track position in Operative Dentistry at the assistant/associate professor level. The position will include didactic and laboratory teaching undergraduate students in the clinical and pre-clinical settings, service and may include research responsibilities, depending upon the academic track chosen. Candidates with a strong commitment and/or experience in clinical and laboratory teaching in operative dentistry are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree from an ADA-accredited dental school. Dental licensure in Indiana or eligibility is required for this position. Postgraduate training in restorative dentistry is desirable but not required. The position is available immediately, and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Columbia University College of Dental Medicine Section of Adult Dentistry

Columbia University College of Dental Medicine is seeking candidates for full-time, clinical track positions in the Division of Operative Dentistry, Section of Adult Dentistry, at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Required academic qualifications include DDS or DMD. Candidate must be eligible for licensure in New York State. In addition, applicants must have had teaching experience and/or a graduate degree or residency certificate in general dentistry or restorative dentistry. Teaching responsibilities will include operative dentistry, computerized simulation, and dental anatomy and occlusion for first-and second-year pre-doctoral students. Clinical teaching responsibilities will include all areas of general dentistry for third- and fourth-year pre-doctoral students. Expectations will include participation in faculty practice and research activity. Position available July 1, 2006.
