The University of Iowa's College of Dentistry is searching for FT clinical or tenure-track faculty in Department of Operative Dentistry. Position available July 1, 2012; screening begins immediately. Must have: DDS/DMD or equivalent; by time of appointment, MS degree or advanced clinical training in Operative/Restorative Dentistry from ADA-accredited dental school OR advanced degree or clinical training from foreign dental school w/ at least one year experience teaching at ADA-accredited dental school; teaching/research experience; ability to mentor pre-/post-doctoral students in research; and evidence of collaborative academic achievement. Desirable: Experience teaching/directing pre-clinical or clinical Operative/Restorative Dentistry; advanced training esthetic dentistry; experience working w/ minimally invasive dentistry curriculum development, and demonstrated interest in biological context of clinical operative dentistry; record of publication in peer-reviewed journals; and experience mentoring pre- or post-doctoral students.
