The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Dentistry seeks an outstanding, experienced academic leader to serve as the Operative Dentistry Graduate Program Director.
This position is a full-time, open rank, tenure-track position or fixed-term position in the Department of Operative Dentistry. Other expectations include teaching operative dentistry in the graduate and DDS programs and conducting research in related areas. Successful applicants should have the ability to rapidly establish a robust intramural practice within the UNC School of Dentistry's Dental Faculty Practice. In addition to excellent clinical credentials, including demonstrable restorative talent, the individual should have experience in organizational and interpersonal skills, mentoring, leadership, and a commitment to diversity, inclusivity and collegiality.
Outstanding opportunities exist for teaching and curriculum development, research in new state of the art facilities, and participation in an active intramural faculty practice. The position will be effective July 1, 2018.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements: DDS or DMD or equivalent degree and previous teaching and research experience are required; a certificate and/or MS degree from an operative dentistry program is preferred.
